Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

Mozhima is a free, offline-first communication app for children with autism. Protecting children's privacy is fundamental to how the app is built.

No data collection from children

Mozhima collects no personal information from children. There are no accounts, logins, ads, or trackers in the child experience.

Everything stays on the device

Photos, voice recordings, schedules, cards, and progress are stored only on the device. They are never uploaded or shared by the app.

Offline first

The app is built to work fully offline. The only optional network use is downloading extra ARASAAC symbols when a parent searches for new ones — no child data is sent in the process.

On-device processing only

Speech and image handling happen entirely on the device. No images or audio are sent to the cloud.

No analytics on child usage

We do not track how a child uses the app. There is no usage profiling or advertising.

Parent / therapist data

Any optional parent or therapist features (such as cloud backup) are handled separately and only with the adult's explicit consent. They never expose a child's identity.

Children's privacy (COPPA)

Because Mozhima collects no personal information, it complies with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar regulations. No data leaves the device.

Language translations

Mozhima's non-English translations were generated with AI during development and are in beta. Your device sends nothing to any translation service — every translation is built into the app and works fully offline, so no data about you or your child ever leaves the device for translation.
